Ji Ye-eun Shed Tears Upon Winning Rising Star Award, Making Yoo Jae-suk Laugh

The 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards, which took place on January 29th, announced Kang Hoon and Ji Ye-eun as winners of the Rising Star award.

Receiving the trophy, Kang Hoon said, “I remember playing around while watching ‘Running Man’, and it was like a dream to be on ‘Running Man’. I was very happy”, adding “My Mom’s birthday is tomorrow. Happy birthday Mom. I love you”.

Ji Ye-eun cried while saying, “I’m so grateful and emotional to be here”. Seeing it, Yoo Jae-suk and the “Running Man” team burst into laughter.

Ji Ye-eun added, “I really wanted to appear in ‘Running Man’, but thank you for keep letting me join ‘Running Man’. It was my dream to be on ‘Running Man’, and my dream came true. Thank you Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook, Ji Seok-jin, Haha, Song Ji-hyo, and Yang Se-chan for taking great care of me and loving me”.

Ji Ye-eun smiled and said, “I will work hard to become a rising star who can bring more laughter to you all”. 

Earlier, the 2024 SBS Entertainment Awards was scheduled to air live on the 31st of last month but was postponed to mourn the victims of the Jeju Air plane disaster.
